A Message from Saint-Gobain HyComp

Dear Valued Customers,

It is with excitement that I make the attached announcement about a new alliance formed between Saint-Gobain HyComp and Beckon Worldwide to support the canning aftermarket.

Starting July 1st, 2021 all orders for HyComp parts need to be placed directly with Beckon Worldwide (contact information in the letter).

You can order directly with us until the start date, but on July 1st all open and valid HyComp quotes will become invalid and you will need to reach out to Beckon for updated quotes.

All open orders with HyComp will continue to be filled by HyComp.

You will still be able to reference all of the same HyComp (HC) part numbers you are accustomed to when ordering through Beckon.

If your part is considered a rework, where you send in a used component and have it refurbished with our material, you will treat Beckon the same as you would with us and ship the component directly to them for processing.

It was our intent to start this with Beckon ordering in advance and having inventory ready for you, but due to various reasons we were unable to achieve this.

Therefore, during the first few months of the transition (and when dealing with reworks), you should plan for the same lead times as you would when ordering directly through us. Gradually you should see lead times start to come down as they build their inventory of finished (and assembly) components.

If you have a new part you would like to convert to a HyComp material, you can work with them directly. We will still be involved behind the scenes to advise and develop parts, but they will be your front line contact for everything HyComp.

During the transition I will stay directly involved, so please reach out to me with any questions or concerns.

Thank you all for your continued business, which together we have been building and supporting for 30 years! Canning continues to be a fantastic business to be in and has been a huge part of our company since its inception. Now, through Beckon, we hope to continue the tradition with even better services and access to our advanced material systems.

Best Regards,

Benefits include:

  • High wear resistance leads to longer life (see case studies below).
  • Low thermal expansion allows for tighter clearances.
  • Lubrication not required due to impregnated graphite.
  • Low coefficient of friction results in lowheat generation.
